ROCK HILL, S.C.,None — A man and two young women on a shoplifting spree on Friday morning, police said.
It looks like they started in south Charlotte, stealing from DSW, Kohl's, Old Navy, Rue 21 and Pep Boys, police said. Apparently, the group then headed south to another Pep Boys in Rock Hill, but the clerks were ready.
Workers at the Pep Boys that had been hit earlier had given the clerks a warning, so when the suspects pulled up, the store called police. Officers arrived in less than a minute and arrested the three suspects before they even got inside the store.
Antonio Foster, Shenequel McKnight and Shatona McKnight were charged in connection with the thefts.
Officers said they recovered piles of clothes, accessories and electronics. Some items still had security tags on them, police said. The merchandise totaled more than $3,000, meaning that the suspects face felony charges instead of misdemeanor charges under a new South Carolina law.
