No other injuries were reported. No students or faculty members were on campus at the time of the incident.

According to the school, "the incident was believed to have arisen from a personal dispute among members of the contracted cleaning crew who are related to each other. Parents were notified before 6 a.m. Thursday about the incident and as a precaution, extra security was present on campus to provide additional reassurances to families, students and staff."

On Thursday morning, the school sent the following message to parents:

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on December 2nd there was an incident at the upper school involving the contracted overnight cleaning crew. One crew member got into a verbal altercation with another over a financial dispute. One tazed another and a gun was drawn and discharged into the ceiling. The police were called and dispatched. The person with a gun and his girlfriend fled the scene and are currently being pursued. At no point were students present and no student was placed in harm's way. There is also nothing that ties the suspect(s) back to the school, outside of the cleaning companies contract, which has been terminated, effective immediately. Out of an abundance of caution the police will provide us with additional coverage this morning.
