CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A bookstore chain that has three stores in Charlotte may file for bankruptcy Monday or Tuesday.
The Wall Street Journal reports Borders is in the final stages of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Hundreds of stores would close and thousands of employees would be out of jobs.
Borders has lost many shoppers to online retailers like Amazon.
