"They did a lot for a small city like Salisbury, and a lot of people will now know where Salisbury, North Carolina is," Coach Steve Yang said.
Coach Steve Yang said the girls didn't just work hard on the field. They learned a huge lesson in helping others when they rallied to help the team from Uganda that didn't have any bat bags.
"They didn't have anything, so the least we could do was give them bags," player Carrie Hales said.
The excitement isn't over for these girls-- The city will host a parade in their honor on Saturday.
"We feel so loved by our community for everyone coming out here and supporting us," Hales said.
