Share the Warmth

Piedmont Natural Gas makes annual contributions to the Share the Warmth program, and has donated more than $1.3 million dollars since the program began.

Share the Warmth, is a North Carolina Natural Gas (NCNG) energy assistance program that provides funds to help low-income customers pay heating costs during the winter months. Since the program was developed in 2004, 44 counties have received funding through this program.

Share the Warmth funds can be used to pay energy bills regardless of the energy source used in the home - including natural gas, propane, oil and electricity. Funds are dispersed to residents who have been approved through partner agencies.

Piedmont Natural Gas provides direct financial assistance to Share the Warmth and allows its customers to donate through their Share the Warmth Round Up program. When customers enroll in the Share the Warmth Round Up program, PNG will round up their monthly PNG bill to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to an approved Share the Warmth agency in the community. Donations given through this program are tax deductible and 100 percent of the contributions support the people in your community.
