DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said they have “multiple deputies down” after an incident at an apartment complex.
Douglas County is a suburban county outside of Denver.
Officials told Denver7 news that they were responding to a shots fired call early Sunday morning.
After responding to the incident, a “Code Red” was issued, instructing residents to shelter in place.
Reporters at the scene said they heard gunshots in the distance and noted several roads closed because of the police activity.
