St. Patty's Day Pub Crawl Fit For A King

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — You can't think about wild parties without thinking about St. Patrick's Day all across the country and especially right here in the Queen City.

Thanks to two local guys, Rich And Bennett's Annual St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl in Charlotte is labeled as the World's Largest Pub Crawl, according to the Travel Channel.

Ten years ago these two guys named Rich Saner and Jeff Bennett wanted to create a St. Patty's day get together to rival all others.

What started out as a small group of motivated and gregarious friends has now turned into nearly more than 7,000 patrons bouncing from bar to bar in Uptown Charlotte on St. Patty's Day.

SLIDESHOW: World's Largest Pub Crawl Belongs To Queen City

The party has become so big that the Travel Channel featured the crawl on their ‘Extreme Wild Parties' two years ago.

Each year the party has grown in size from the first year with just 70 college buddies on a bus all the way to last year with 7,310 crawlers.

The party starts at Dixie's Tavern and then continues on to total 20 bars in a 5-block radius with over 49,000 drinks served.

On Saturday, the guys hope to shatter their own record and once again stake claim to the ‘World's Largest Pub Crawl.'

If you plan on being a part of history then you might need to pace yourself as the final stop at the EpiCentre comes nearly nine hours after the first stop.
