ROCK HILL, S.C.,None — A teen arrested in the holdup and shooting at a York County haunted trail now has been charged with murder in a separate case.
Brandon Alexander Davis, 16, of Rock Hill was arrested Thursday and charged with murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and three weapons violation in the shooting death last week of 23-year-old Anthony Whitlock.
Davis had been arrested Sunday on charges of attempted murder, conspiracy, armed robbery and weapons violations for a holdup and shooting at the "Trail of Terror" southeast of Rock Hill on Oct. 16. The ticket collector on the trail was shot in the shoulder and the bandits took about $1,500.
Rock Hill Police Lt. Brad Redfearn said officers plan to charge Davis as an adult.
Defense attorney Deon O'Neil said his client is awaiting a bond hearing.
