NEW YORK — A woman walking on a Brooklyn sidewalk was randomly sucker-punched in the face in the middle of the day by a stranger who then casually walked away, video shows.
The man approached the 27-year-old woman around 12:10 p.m. on March 9 as she crossed the street and hit the woman in the head, causing her to collapse, video released Wednesday by the New York Police Department shows.
The victim drove herself to a nearby hospital and was treated for a head wound, WCBS reported.
The man then casually continued walking.
Investigators released another video of the man Thursday. It shows him inside a nearby store shortly after the incident occurred.
Investigators are searching for a 5-foot-8-inch black man around 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with the word “Yale” written across it.
