ALEXANDRIA, La. — Police in Louisiana are investigating after an 11-year-old was shot six times in Alexandria.
According to the Town Talk, the incident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Eastwood Boulevard. The victim and two other people were inside a car when someone began shooting at the vehicle, Alexandria police said in a Facebook post Sunday.
The child was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in critical but stable condition, according to the post.
Investigators believe the shooting "may have been in retaliation for a previous shooting incident," the post said.
