Apple to temporarily close 30 more stores across country, including some Georgia, Oklahoma locations

Apple is shutting down more stores in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The closures will bring the number of reopened stores that are going to close for a second time to 77 in the U.S., CNBC reported.

The latest round of stores are located in Alabama, California, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada and Oklahoma, 9 to 5 Mac reported. They will join stores in Florida, Mississippi, Texas and Utah.

Apple said in a statement: “Due to current COVID-19 conditions in some of the communities we serve, we are temporarily closing stores in these areas. We take this step with an abundance of caution as we closely monitor the situation and we look forward to having our teams and customers back as soon as possible.”

Additional stores in Florida and California closed as part of this wave of reclosures.

Apple has 271 stores in the U.S.
