LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Children playing behind a Dollar General store in Indiana found a dead man inside a tent, authorities said Saturday.
Officers from the Lafayette Police Department were called to the area at about 4:40 p.m. EDT, the Journal & Courier of Lafayette reported.
The man has not been identified, police said.
The man had been dead for a while, Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello told the newspaper.
Officials with the Lafayette Police Department said they did not suspect foul play but added that the man’s death was under investigation.
Costello said an autopsy would be performed on the man to determine the cause of death, the Journal & Courier reported.
