Coronavirus: Pharrell, Adidas donate 8,000 masks to health care system

Athletic shoe and apparel company Adidas and singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams have paired up to give back to the producer’s hometown area in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Pharrell, who was born in Virginia Beach, contributed to the joint donation to Sentara health care system, which manages hospitals and medical facilities across Virginia and North Carolina.

In total, 8,000 face coverings were donated to the health care system through the partnership, according to a post on its Facebook page.

The face coverings will be given to front line workers caring for patients infected with COVID-19.
