“If you have witnessed unlawful violent actions, we urge you to submit any information, photos or videos that could be relevant,” the FBI said. “Please use this form to submit any images, videos or other multimedia files you have related to possible violations of federal law committed. Our goal is to preserve the public’s constitutional right to protest by protecting everyone from violence and other criminal activity.”

About a dozen arrests were made in the hours after authorities regained control.

One woman was shot and killed by police, and three others died from medical emergencies as a mob of people stormed the Capitol, breaking windows, taking over offices and even the Senate dais as lawmakers were evacuated to safety. Police recovered two pipe bombs, one outside the Democratic National Committee and one outside the Republican National Committee. A vehicle on the Capitol grounds was found with a long gun and Molotov cocktail in it.
