Some MVPs say they’re going to go to Walt Disney World after their league’s championship, but Giannis Antetokounmpo kept his celebration a little closer to home.
Antetokounmpo drove through a Milwaukee-area Chick-Fil-A with his Larry O’Brien Trophy and broadcast his order of 50 Chick-n-Minis breakfast sandwiches. He wanted exactly 50 sandwiches for the 50 points he scored during the final game Tuesday, Sports Illustrated reported.
He also ordered a large half-Sprite, half-lemonade with no ice.
Antetokounmpo also chanted “Bucks in 6″ in the drive-thru line and celebrated with fans who swarmed his car.
The Milwaukee Bucks won their first championship since 1971, SB Nation reported. They beat the Phoenix Suns 105-98, according to the Journal-Sentinel.
Antetokounmpo said during his fast-food stop, “I haven’t woken up. I haven’t slept. So, I’ve been up like this,” he said while holding onto the Russel trophy, according to the newspaper. “This is why I love Milwaukee. This is why I chose to stay, because we celebrate together. It’s been like this since Day One. It’s been like this Day One and I love this.”
