Elizabeth held virtual audiences last week with the ambassadors of Chad and Andorra as she returned to work after testing positive for the coronavirus on Feb. 20, as we previously reported.

Elizabeth met with Trudeau, posing for photos with the prime minister in front of blue and yellow flowers, the national colors of Ukraine, BBC reported. A royal source told BBC the colors of the flowers were “unlikely to be accidental.” Elizabeth previously donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s appeal to help people fleeing Ukraine, BBC reported.

Trudeau is in Europe this week, displaying Canada’s solidarity with Europe in the face of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, The New York Times reported. Trudeau also met Monday with British Prime Mister Boris Johnson and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands, the Times reported.

Trudeau told The Associated Press that he has known Elizabeth, who is also the queen of Canada, for about 45 years, and that “I can tell you that in my conversation with her she was as insightful ad perspicacious as ever.”
