KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee fire captain is facing multiple charges after authorities said he sexually assaulted a child.
According to the Knoxville News Sentinel and WVLT, Knoxville Fire Department Capt. William Scott Warwick, 56, was indicted on three counts each of sexual contact with a child and aggravated sexual battery in connection with three incidents that occurred from August through October.
The Fire Department suspended Warwick with pay earlier this month, according to the News Sentinel. He also submitted an application for retirement, which would begin Sunday, WVLT reported.
