According to KFDX and the Times Record News, police arrested Brittany Kuter, 32, of Burkburnett, on a child endangerment charge Friday, less than two weeks after she was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence Sept. 28.

Police said Kuter attempted to hide drugs from investigators who were searching her home, KFDX reported. A test later revealed that the baby had been exposed to several drugs, including meth, opiates, marijuana and oxycodone, according to the Times Record News and KFDX.

Authorities started investigating Kuter after a child told a school counselor that her mother was on drugs, the outlets reported. The girl also said her mother’s boyfriend told her to cut herself, authorities said. The complaint led Burkburnett police to conduct a welfare check on a baby in the home, according to the Times Record News.
