The Forest Park Police Department shared the surveillance video on its Facebook page. In the video, a black car stops next to a fire truck, and a person can be seen approaching the fire truck, removing something, returning to the car and driving away.

Investigators said the theft happened on Sept. 29 at around 6 p.m. Police are looking for the man seen taking the tools on the video and a woman who was in the car, WSB reported.

Two “Jaws of Life” rescue tools, formally known as SC 358 Extrication Tool and R 521 E3 Ram, are valued at $20,000, police told WSB. The tools are used by first responders at crash scenes to free people who are trapped.
