Cardinals playoff starting QB winless on season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Arizona Cardinals finally made their starting quarterback official.

The team was hoping Drew Stanton would be healthy enough to play, but instead, head coach Bruce Arians said it will be Ryan Lindley.

It's been a quarterback carousel for the Cardinals this year, which benefits the Panthers.

Arizona is 11-3 in games started by either Carson Palmer or Drew Stanton and is 0-2 in games started by Lindley.

But the Carolina defense isn't looking past the winless Lindley.

"He's a guy that knows where he's going with the ball. He's going to sling it around. He's confident, and he's well coached," said Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly.

"He's been as calm as you could be out there. They all know he knows what he's doing. That's the confidence factor everybody has," said Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians.
