- A few more quiet days before things turn wet this weekend.
- Sunshine and highs warming to the mid 80s this afternoon.
- We remain dry tomorrow, but clouds start to gather. This will hold temps down to the mid to upper 70s.
- Hurricane Isaias continues to strengthen this morning and may reach category 2 status before making landfall tomorrow night along the Gulf Coast.
- We still don’t get direct impacts from the storm, but we do get rain and some breezy conditions.
- The rain timeline has sped up a bit with showers starting during the day Saturday and really picking up as the day goes on.
- The heaviest rains fall Saturday night into Sunday morning with an easing by Sunday afternoon.
- Winds may gust to around 30 mph at times with higher gusts in the mountains.
- One other threat we will keep an eye on is a low tornado threat. This may end up being more of an issue by Sunday afternoon as some slightly warmer air comes in at the tail end of the storm.
- Drier conditions arrive by Monday and we stay quiet into next week.
