Cheerwine Lager is back but not for long

SALISBURY, N.C. — When you run a brewery in the same town Cheerwine calls home, of course the idea of a sweet collaboration with one of the South’s most iconic brands crosses your mind a time or two.

That’s exactly what the folks at New Serum Brewing in Salisbury have been doing since first honoring the soft drink’s centennial celebration in May 2017.

To put the cherry on top, New Serum is donating $4 from every six-pack sold to the Rowan County United Way COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Fast-forward to last month when the brewery released a Cheerwine Lager that sold out so quickly, they’ve decided to do another limited run of the tasty beverage.

On Friday the brewery will have six-packs of Cheerwine Lager for sale starting at 2 p.m.

There will be a limit of two six-packs per person.
