Police called to same south Charlotte home for second time in 24 hours

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the second time in less than 24 hours, police officers were called to a house on Silver Arrow Drive in south Charlotte.

Investigators told Channel 9 that just before 12:30 a.m. someone shot into an empty vehicle on Arrowhawk Drive.

They said that just minutes later 4-5 armed suspects broke into a home on Silver Arrow Drive. Nobody was inside the house at the time but police said a dog was shot.

That dog is expected to survive.

The suspects then set the house on fire but it was quickly extinguished, causing only minimal damage.

Police were at that same house Monday morning for another call of shots fired into the home.

Investigators are still sorting out the details, but it doesn't appear anyone was actually shot in that incident.

CMPD said the cases are all related and that the victims and at least some of the suspects know each other.

No arrests have been made.
