GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — One person died in a head-on, two-car collision Saturday evening in Gaston County.
The crash happened on Dallas-Cherryville Highway close to Costner School Road in Bessemer City around 5:30 p.m.

Troopers said one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not said if there were any other injuries.
