CHARLOTTE — One person was shot in east Charlotte late Wednedsay afternoon, MEDIC said.

Officers were called to Lawyers Road at Albemarle Road at about 5:30 p.m.
The victim’s injuries were life-threatening, and they were taken to Novant Health Presby, MEDIC said.
No additional details have been made available.
