CHARLOTTE — A man was shot and killed Sunday night in west Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.

First responders were called to Elmin Street off West Boulevard shortly after 8:30 p.m. after someone reported multiple shots fired in the area.
Officers got there and found the man who had been shot several times.
Life-saving measures were taken but he died at the scene, CMPD said.
The investigation is ongoing.
No additional details have been made available.
