LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police arrested one man and are searching for a woman after they found a man beaten in Lincolnton.
Officers responded Thursday to a welfare check on North General’s Boulevard. They found a man with several injuries to his head after he was hit with either a tire tool or a baseball bat, police said.
The victim was rushed to Carolinas Healthcare Systems-Lincoln, where he was treated and released. Authorities have not released his name.
Officers identified Macy Jordan Walker and Austin Shane McCutcheon, aka “Cutta,” as the two people involved in the assault and obtained warrants for their arrests.

Police took McCutcheon into custody on Saturday. He is charged with felony conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and was given a $25,000 bond.
Officers are still searching for Walker. Authorities believe Walker was the one who assaulted the victim. She's wanted on assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and consipracy charges. They said she frequents the Lincolnton and Crouse areas and has relatives in Rocky Mount.
Police said McCutcheon and Walker have pending felony charges against them. They also said McCutcheon is a member of the 700 Gang.

“Both McCutcheon and Walker have an extensive history of criminal activity starting at an early age. This act of coordinated violence committed by the both of them shows their disregard for the personal welfare of others," said Lincolnton police Lt. Jason Munday.
Police have not released a motive behind the attack.
Police are asking anyone with information on Walker’s whereabouts to contact the Lincolnton Police Department at 704-736-8900 or the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Crimestoppers at 704-736-8909. Any calls made to Crimestoppers can be made anonymously and the caller will be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward if the information leads to an arrest.
