CHARLOTTE — It’s going to be easier for some travelers to get home from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

The Charlotte City Council is expected to vote Monday night on a 1.8 million contract to build a new exit lane connecting the express parking deck to Josh Birmingham Parkway.

It is expected to be finished by the middle of 2027.
