CHARLOTTE — One person is dead, and another person is seriously hurt following a shooting in north Charlotte Friday night.
It happened around 7:50 p.m. on North Tryon Street near West 30th Street.

According to MEDIC, both victims were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
However, one of those victims died while at that hospital.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the incident as a homicide.
“We would love to work with [the community]. Any information they have that could potentially solve this crime for this family. That’s what we’re going to ask for,” said Major Brian Sanders.
No additional details have been made available.
