CHARLOTTE — Two people were rushed to the hospital after a south Charlotte house fire on Raintree Lane early Friday morning.
Charlotte Fire officials say one person was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim is being treated for serious injuries at a local burn center, MEDIC said.

It took firefighters around 35 minutes to control the blaze.
The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force determined the fire was accidental, originating in the back deck area. It caused an estimated $177K in damage.
