SOUTH CAROLINA — An earthquake was reported just outside Kershaw, South Carolina early Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The 2.3-magnitude earthquake happened just before 5 a.m. Wednesday, about five miles outside the city of Kershaw and just over 30 miles from Waxhaw and Monroe, North Carolina.
The tornado damaged just about every building on North Central’s campus and officials told Channel 9′s DaShawn Brown of a fleet of nearly 30 buses, only three can be salvaged.
No injuries or damage was reported from the quake.
This comes days after a catastrophic EF-2 tornado with 130 mph winds hit North Central High School in Kershaw.

District leaders had to figure out a plan for where more than 500 students will finish out the school year, and possibly the following year.
