24-year-old driver charged after pedestrian struck on I-485

CHARLOTTE — Police charged Makayla Neely, 24, of Mint Hill, with manslaughter in a deadly crash that happened on Saturday on Interstate 485 in southwest Charlotte, according to an arrest record.

The collision happened around 9 p.m. at Exit 6 (West Boulevard) and the outer loop was shut down for hours.
