CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Airlines Group Inc. is adding a seasonal flight to Mexico from Charlotte Douglas International Airport shortly after the new year.

Beginning Jan. 6, passengers in Charlotte can fly daily to Guadalajara International Airport on a 128-seat Airbus A319. The flight will operate through April 1.
The winter seasonal route is scheduled to take off from Charlotte at 9:30 a.m., landing in Guadalajara at 12:30 p.m. It will depart from Guadalajara at 1:30 p.m. and arrive back in Charlotte at 6:30 p.m.
American Airlines is the second carrier in the past week to bring flight service between Charlotte and Guadalajara, which is located in western Mexico and is the country’s second-largest city. An airline new to CLT, Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris, will offer twice-weekly flights between the two cities beginning Nov. 22.
