CHARLOTTE — An arrest has been made in connection with a deadly crash back in May.
Former Queens University swimmer Keegan McKenney was killed in a crash in Myers Park on May 10.
Burton Brinkman was arrested on Sept. 24 for felony death by vehicle and felony serious injury by vehicle.
According to a release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, back in May officers were called to the 1400 block of Queens Road West around 2:15 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a BMW M3 that had run off the road and struck a tree. Police say everyone in the vehicle was extricated and taken to local hospitals, where McKenney died from his injuries.

McKenney was a Queens University graduate and a former member of the University’s swim team.
Circumstances leading up to the crash are still unknown.
