CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An east Charlotte apartment community built in the 1980s has been sold, adding to a string of recent value-add multifamily transactions in the Queen City.
Misty NC LLC, affiliated with Dasmen Residential out of Suffern, New York, purchased Woodford Estates in the Sheffield/Winterfield neighborhood for $20.8 million, according to Mecklenburg County real estate records. Dasmen acquired the property, formerly known as Misty Woods, from Gastonia-based Southwood Realty Co., which has owned it since 2011. Southwood purchased the community for less than $5.6 million at that time.
