CHARLOTTE — Charlotte City Council will hear from applicants for the open mayoral seat on Monday.

The city said all eligible applicants are invited to speak for two minutes during the meeting, which begins at 2 p.m. at the Government Center.
According to the city, 114 people applied for the role, and 69 of them are eligible to be considered.
Officials said they plan to release the applications on Friday.
