CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Water crews responded to a significant wastewater overflow near the 6400 block of Caldwell Park Drive on Thursday.

The response came after a contractor damaged a pipe serving multiple neighborhoods.
The incident resulted in approximately 83,140 gallons of wastewater reaching Back Creek in the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin.
