CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are conducting a shooting investigation in north Charlotte.
The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. Tuesday on Cypress Pond Drive inside a residence in the area.

Officials said officers will be applying for a search warrant to get inside the residence to process the scene and collect evidence.
When officers arrived on scene, they found an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
MEDIC said the injuries are considered life-threatening and transported the victim to the hospital.
Police said the suspect and victim knew each other.
No arrests have been made.
