CMPD officer, neighbor arrested after argument about rooster

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C — Investigators said an argument over a rooster led to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officer's arrest.

Officer Matthew Watts lives in Cabarrus County. He and his neighbor were charged with making threats toward each other.

The sheriff said they got into an argument about a rooster the officer's neighbor owns.
