CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will open its School Choice lottery on Monday.
Students can apply for up to three schools for the 2027-28 school year. It’s for grades pre-K through 12.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 11.
CMS is in the process of changing its school choice plan for next year.
Students would be able to go to any school in the district based on their program interests.
CMS is also reducing its magnet offerings from 16 to six.
