CHARLOTTE — A father was charged with attempted first-degree murder Thursday after his infant daughter was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury.
Staff members at Novant Health called Charlotte-Mecklenburg police on the night of Dec. 4 after they discovered the two-month-old girl had life-threatening injuries.
The alleged abuse happened on Reid Oaks Drive in west Charlotte.

Felix Guillermo Rivas, 19, was arrested and also charged with two counts of felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.
