FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A driver is charged in a crash that killed a Forsyth County sheriff’s deputy.
Court documents say that on Saturday, Bryan Castillo was driving 100 mph in a 55 zone when he crossed the center line, and crashed into Deputy Kaleb Mitchell, killing him.

Castillo is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.
Mitchell graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training in 2021, and received the top driver award in his class.
