Free Cleveland Co. transportation service discontinued

CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — A free transportation service in Cleveland County has come to an end.

According to the Shelby Star, the Reach Project was discontinued last month.

Even though the fixed route is no more, officials said the county will offer rides by appointment.

Last year, close to 5,000 passengers used the service.
