CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A noise wall on Interstate 77 in north Charlotte was recently built to keep the noise on the interstate out of surrounding neighborhoods, but some say it isn’t working.

“I don’t know what the goal is, if it’s not doing its job,” a resident said.

The noise wall has a huge gap in it, right next to the Brightwalk community.
