GASTONIA, N.C. — A child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a Gaston County police cruiser Wednesday morning in Gastonia, officials said.
The collision happened around 7:30 a.m. on East Hudson Boulevard in front of the Hudson Woods Apartments.
The child, whose age has not been released, was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities told Channel 9.
Channel 9 crews could see a Gaston County Police Department vehicle on the scene, but officials have not yet released more details about the collision.
