CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are trying to figure out who shot a man overnight in west Charlotte.
The shooting happened just after 3 a.m. and the victim showed up at the 7-Eleven on Brookshire Boulevard at Hovis Road.

Channel 9 could see the silver Jeep Gand Cherokee at the 7-Eleven with several bullet holes in it.
Detectives said the victim was shot somewhere else while inside an SUV and drove to the store.
An employee at the store told Eyewitness News the victim came inside yelling, “I’ve been shot, they got the wrong person.”
Paramedics took the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said they do not have a motive and have very few leads.
