CHARLOTTE — Harris Teeter’s parent company, Kroger, plans to outsource work to India, according to The Charlotte Observer.
The move could mean the loss of over 5,700 jobs in the United States.

It’s not clear if or how the move could impact workers specifically at Harris Teeter.
The Observer reports it’s part of Kroger’s plan to save $500 million.
