CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One of Charlotte’s best-known new restaurants is hosting an event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to benefit a local nonprofit organization. Leah & Louise’s “Pay What You Can Soup Kitchen” will take place on Monday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Camp North End.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Heal Charlotte, whose charity work ranges from after-school programs and youth mentoring to food and rent assistance to fostering relationships between the community, police and elected officials.
