LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police have arrested and charged a husband and wife with the murder of a man in Lincolnton, officials said.
The crime happened early Tuesday morning in a parking lot of a business on East Main Street.

Officials identified him as Christopher Alexander Easter.
Lincolnton police responded to the scene after receiving 911 calls about an unresponsive person lying in the parking lot.
Officers found the victim and after 20 minutes of medical aid, paramedics pronounced him dead.
Detectives spoke with witnesses who said Easter had been assaulted.

Police arrested and charged Jason John Carwile and Carolyn Ashley Carwile with murder but no other details about the crime have been released.
The pair are being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center without bond.
