CHARLOTTE — Krispy Kreme has reached a $1.6 million settlement over a cyberattack.

The settlement is a step toward compensating more than 161,000 current and former employees, our partners at The Observer reported.
Krispy Kreme denied any wrongdoing for the 2024 cyberattack.
The Charlotte-based doughnut company agreed to the settlement to avoid more costs and disruptions, according to court records.
